WHY I RUN (Church Edition)

I’m a runner and I run because …

  • You never know when you might have to outrun a little old lady at potluck who’s trying to get you to try the beets she made.

  • You never know when you might have to outrun the man at church who always has a “job” for you to do, because he just doesn’t want to do it himself.
  • Sometimes you might have to outrun the woman who wants to give you a weekly update on her bunions.
  • Sometimes you might need to outrun the person at church who feels like it’s their gift to gripe about everything they don’t like at church.
  • You never know when you might need to outrun a guy like the one in the video … He reminds me of one of my elders after I’ve preached a bad sermon :) (Just teasing, Mike).

I kind of liked the blank version. :-)

We were talking the other day about a man who got Alzheimer’s in his 50s. Because he is so healthy, he will probably live another 20 years, yet his mind is gone. His wife is going through a hard time.

I told my friends that I had decided to spare my wife that. No exercise, no healthy eating for me! That way she won’t have to worry.

    Grace and peace,
    Tim

My wife is into this natural food thing. Everything has to be all natural or organic. I finally looked at her and said, “you do know that people die of natural causes don’t you?”

If the good die young, I’ll live forever or at leaste I’ll know what killed me.

Too funny!! Mike once told me that I’m really good at walking with a purpose; even if I’ve got no where to go or nothing to do; so that people wouldn’t stop me for those types of things!

    I am no threat-I can’t run that fast-especially carrying a chain saw I can’t start when I really need it.-drbevo

Running and working out is great. It makes me feel closer to GOD.

    I loved the video.

  • it's still early. :)
  • no worries. Luke is a very popular gospel during the Christmas season. 😜 #BabyJesusStory
  • Mitch Moreland has a combined 1.6 WAR since the start of 2011 at a premium position (DH/1B). That position needs to produce.
  • definitely don't disagree with that. We will miss his glove. But he had such a quiet bat for someone at first base.
  • I only disliked him when he was at the plate.
