WHAT WOULD GOD SAY TO US?

It was a good question, one I haven’t thought of like she was asking me. The question, “If God told you one specific thing to pass on to His people that they really needed to hear, what do you think it would be?”

  • Would it be to “straighten up and fly right?”
  • Would it be to “give to the poor?”
  • Would it be to “quit acting like hypocrites and Pharisees?”
  • Would it be to “start acting more like my Son?”
  • Something else? What would it be? What is the one thing God would want His children to know?

I’ve thought about it and here is my answer (and just my opinion, of course) …

If God told me one thing to remind His children, I think He’d say, “Trey, please tell them one more time just how much I love them!”

That’s what I think He might say. What do you think?

(I’ll reveal The Shack book winner tomorrow! Thanks for playing.)

I think He would say, “I kept it simple. I only gave you two rules: Love me with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. Work on those two, especially that second one, and don’t complicate things by adding more rules. That’s all anyone can handle and that’s all anyone needs.”

He would probably say, “Do you know true love?” Then it would trigger the person to ask what?.. and then you have a chance to share more than one question 😉

You’ve been reading “The Shack”, Mr. Morgan! I can’t add anything else, because I wholeheartedly agree with your answer!

  4. Monalea says:

He would tell me, “I don’t need your help! Sit back and enjoy life while I do the work.”

I don’t know why I think I have try and take God’s place. Thankfully He loves me Agape (unconditionally).

I think He would say “Read my book” . Not that many people do.

He might want them told “How very fond of them” He is……
Great book. Finished it this weekend myself and promptly ordered several more to pass out.

You are spot on in my opinion Trey. The more I grow in the Lord, the more I just want to talk about how much he loves us. I think if His son came to earth to die to show us how much he loved us then I suppose that is probably what is most important. Just a thought.

  8. Danny says:

Yea, I agree with you- love would be the message.

But he also might say- slow down folks and take a minute to realize who I am.

  9. Stoogelover says:

God is love and his message is all about love. Can’t improve on your answer. Glad you’re back and blogging again!!

  10. cwinwc says:

How about, “Don’t forget to remind them to love Me, themselves, and each other.

  11. Haley says:

I like yours the best! It’s always important to remember/remind others how much God loves us/them. Thanks for the reminder once again.
