We’re trying to do some resting and vacationing, but the weather hasn’t cooperated much. We finally got a little in this week (as you can see below). Now, we’re heading to the mountains this coming week for some “R and R” time. It’s a place where the air is always cool, phones don’t work and if I want to use the internet, I’ll have to go sit in the parking lot of the local bar and borrow their wireless connection (smile).
Here are a few more pictures from this past week…
Pretty amazing picture of the cloud that built right over Childress.

The cloud really built out of no where. I thought it almost looked like a hurricane cloud I saw on John Dobbs blog once.
One of the many tornado pictures that have surfaced this week.
We finally made it to the Ranger’s baseball game. It was sure nice sitting in the suite seats that my friend Jarrett got us.
Taylor and Connor enjoying the game. Notice Taylor’s hat and jersey, “Atlanta Braves.” He has always been a Braves fan with the Rangers being his second favorite baseball team. The Rangers had their biggest crowd of the year at that game with a large portion of people being Braves fans (so Taylor wasn’t the only person rooting for the “other” team).
There was a crowd of 20 that showed up from Childress. After cleaning up tornado debris all week, everyone was ready for a break.
Rangers pulled it out in the bottom of the 9th for an exciting win.
The Ballpark in Arlington is sure a pretty place to watch baseball.

Looks like fun! And a well-deserved break for you guys.
Dido to what Shane said. Tornados are scary things. Glad you guys are safe. Glad y’all got to enjoy getting to see the Rangers win. Watched it on TV. I was a little bit worried. We pulled it out.
I like the Braves too, but they are my “other” team.
Hope y’all enjoy the R and R.
God bless! Grace and Peace.
Horror pictures of that tornado…breat baseball pics. Thanks for sharing!
Wicked looking tornado pictures.
Enjoy your vacation!
I am a braves fan also, but for another reason: John Smoltz is from Lansing, Michigan
and we have to root for our own!
p.s what is the deal with preachers and thier sons and baseball!
This brings back some memories. When I was a teenager I used to go to a couple dozen Angels games each season. General Admission tickets were just $5. I’d go down there spur of the moment and there were always tickets. I’d watch Reggie Jackson, Don Baylor, Tommy John, Rod Carew… Wow, that was a fun time.
I haven’t been to a major league baseball game in 22 years. My last was a 1986 playoff game at Anaheim Stadium. The next year I moved to Idaho.
Wow! Awesome picture of the tornadoes! Those are impressive!
That cloud looks like the spacecraft in “Independence Day”! After many trips to the ball field to see the Braves play, we finally saw them actually win a game last weekend in Anaheim. It was a great game. Our whole family went, including our 10-month-old grandson and he was a delight!
I’m thankful that you and your family are okay after the tornado. I’ll be praying for the family in your congregation who lost their home.
My son’s Little League team is the Braves.
I hope you have a great vacation!
Thanks for sharing with us these pictures brother. I am a huge Ranger fan and am going to take my son this Summer to the Ballpark in Arlington. He is so excited. I want to take him to a double header.
I just now watched the Hasselhoff video you posted a while back.
Ya know, I’ve always thought music videos were kind of lame and usually have nothing at all to do with the song itself… but that was intense. That’s possibly one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen lol. I’m pretty sure I saw an alien of some sort slide by as david hasselhoff was flying a motorcycle. Wow.
Anyway, thanks for the continual blogging and taking care of the AIM girls there. God bless.
