There’s more to being a Christian than having all the right answers. Sometimes it’s your attitude that makes the difference.
About Me
Here are my thoughts about marriage, family, raising children, humor, faith and the life God intended for us all. I am a Christian husband and father, who moonlights as the minister for the church of Christ in Childress, Texas. My wife Lea and I have been married for 23 years. We are doing our best to raise our 4 boys, who are all growing up way too fast. You can email me at: treymorgan@msn.com

Preach the word brother
Sounds like the Christian world needs and "Attitude Check"
(I just had to throw in another AVB reference!)
Ohhhhhhhhhhh, LOVE that!
yeeehaww Trey. I have often heard the 'many will be offended' scripture to excuse poor attitudes and sharing faith etc…my response? Make sure it's the gospel others are offended by and NOT our approach/attitude.
Ha! That was great!
Hi Trey,
This is my first visit to your blog–here via Twitter.
Love this!
Oh…AMEN!!
I think you need a "like" button for your posts!!!
I guess I need to blog on this subject again … It's obvious that I'm not the only one frustrated with some of my Christian family.
Met a guy a couple of years ago. I asked him if he had any food in his house. I wanted to know if he was hungry and he thought I was hungry. He gladly offered me the only thing that he had to eat. That is the attitude of Jesus!
grace…not only for ourselves, but offering grace to others also
God bless you!
Amen, so true.
Don't know about your experience in preaching, but in my years of ministry I can't think of one person who had a bad attitude that ever changed to become someone more like Jesus. The complaining group always complained. The nay-sayers never gave up. Critics remained critics. And, fortunately, the loving grace-filled people kept on serving.
One picture…worth a thousand words!
Today's Challenge: to love my single mom chaplain neighbor who has moved in next door to our jammed together with narrow spaces between" townhouse complex who has 3 huge dogs running up and down those narrow spaces barking!
HAHA SO TRUE!!!
I pastor preached on the article that talked about how southern baptist were just a group of "grumps" last sunday. All of the old people were just offended and missed the whole message…
LOVE it!
Greg … most won't change, but hopefully they know I don't like their attitude. LOL
Anonymous – Tough challenge.
Great, Trey! May I link to it on my post tonight?
Lori … you can use anything you want from this blog
Our ladies class started a study of a relatively new book, "From Vultures to Hummingbirds" by Mary Alice Wilhelm. This book is about ways to rid ourselves of bad attitudes and develop good attitudes. I believe it will be a good study, and she believes bad attitudes can be eliminated and good attitudes nurtured. I do believe we can change, and am sad that Greg has not seen that happen in anyone.
I remember having an unwanted face-off with one of these "jerks for Jesus" many moons ago. When I suggested his tone and attitude were not only offensive but un-Christian he said, "I just HATE error."
Praise the God of the Universe that He loves us despite our errors.
Good post Bro.
Loved reading your Honduras blogs! Made me miss it so much
This blog brings up a valid point. Just because you are aware of Jesus and his great works doesn't mean you need to carry a better-than-all attitude; in fact, you should be more humble and willing to encourage others to put their faith and trust in the Lord.
A lot of the elderly Christians need to start waking up and not be so discouraging of the youth. Motivate and encourage them.
funny but very real…
