I lay around acting sicker than I am to get extra care and sympathy from my family. I also watch old movies, work word puzzles and nap. Hope you are feeling better “real” soon.

    sorry your sick,

    it’s no fun !

  3. Greg says:

Yuk. Since my wife has taught school for a quarter of a century, when I’ve been sick, I’ve pretty much been on my own … lay in bed and try to sleep, which gets old really fast.

  4. nedra smith says:

Hi, I hope you’ll feel better soon. When I’m sick I like to pile a bunch of pillows around me and have the whole bed to myself.

I like to get a can of Campbell’s Chunky chicken corn chowder and load it up with saltine crackers.

And, I’ll put on a DVD of one of my favorite TV shows and let it play itself softly while I zone in and out of sleep.

    Do, feel better.

  5. David says:

The wife and I have been fighting sinus infections the last two weeks (almost). The wife stayed home from school yesterday and today because the infection turned into pink eye!

Good news is her school district has its own clinic with a full time doctor and two pharmacists. The doctor visit was free and her three precscriptions totaled $15. Her total time in the office (though they were booked solid) was less than 30 minutes including getting her meds. How cool is that?

Hope you feel better. Do like we do…lay around check email occassionally and sleep as much as possible.

  6. Shane Coffman says:

Rest well today, friend! And take an extra nap for me, ok?

  7. Chris says:

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well, Trey…

When I am not feeling well, I like to kick back on the couch and watch movies all day. Speaking of such, did you ever watch “Facing the Giants”?

  8. Evan Williams says:

When im Sick i like to Play ” The Legend Of Zelda- Ocarina Of Time”

  9. Brie says:

I take enough medicine that I am mobile and, if I can sit up without falling over, play World of Warcraft. You can only lay in bed for so long…

Of course, if I can’t sit up, it’s a great time to catch up on whatever shows we have on the DVR…House Hunters, Pushing Daisies, NCIS…

  10. DJG says:

Good luck with that….my sickness would not even let me read!! If the Australian Open hadn’t been on TV I guess I would have just slept (which I did a lot of)

    Hope your upandatem’ soon!!!

  11. lisa says:

  12. Liss and MOMMY says:

How weird Cody is sick too today.
As for me when I am sick, I miss the days I could lay down and rest. Seems that I just have to keep tracking on, kids don’t get mom’s sick. Get well soon, try some chicken and dumba-lows.

  13. Stephanie says:

I am so sorry that you don’t feel good. Take care of yourself and RELAX. I think that is what helped us the most….You better get better so you can cheer on your team Friday night and Sunday…

  14. Zach says:

Morgan – you better pull it together!

  15. "Uncle" Roy says:

I take my place on my side of the rocker/recliner love seat, cover up with a blanket, read the paper, work a crossword puzzle or two, and watch a dozen or so episodes of the old Andy Griffith show or MASH with my eyelids drooping until I fall asleep.

    Get well soon.

  16. Anonymous says:

From Mom, I do a few little jobs and rest lots but I haven’t been well in so long I don’t know what well feels like. I do know what really sick feels like. I sleep lots and try not to whine.

  17. Haley says:

Hope your feeling better soon, it would be a shame for you to be sick though the weekend and miss your ONE day of work !!! Just kidding :)

  18. leslie says:

when i’m sick (and it is bad enough to make me stop) i sleep and avoid humanity (both my own and others)…i’m a bad patient and just want to sleep it off in all possible dark and quiet.

hope you get to feeling better and your family stays healthy…

When I’m sick, I hide under the covers, very quietly, and pretend that I don’t hear anyone hollering “Mom!?!?!”. And I vow to change my name for a day or two.

    Hope you’re feeling better soon!

  21. Anonymous says:

I’m a stay at home mom, so I don’t have time to be sick, but I do dread the flu season, because Kevin is the biggest baby around!
Luckily he hasn’t been sick this year!!!!

Sorry you are sick and hope you get better soon!

  • good list. Don't forget Nickelback, OJ, ISIS and beer-throwing Blue Jay fans.
  • He was pretty tough to listen to as well.
  • As crazy as it might sound, Chris Collinsworth just might be worse to listen to than the song Christmas Shoes.
  • Please remember that some Christmas music is incredibly offensive to people with grandmothers who actually were run over by reindeer.
  • Unfortunately, not a great night for "bobcats." :)
