I enjoyed a week of eating things I don’t usually eat, like sweets, bacon and cinnamon rolls. I also enjoyed playing lots of games with the group. Here are a few random pictures from our trip or you can see them all by clicking here.
We found a little time to play some pool. I won $100 dollars (just kidding).
Connor and Cooper found a place to do a little rollerskating.
We introduced Logan, a family friend, to fly fishing. I think he’s hooked.

This picture was a dare. One of the kids dared me to ask a total stranger to take our picture. It was quite possibly the easiest dare I ever completed.
Tommy working on jalapeno poppers (jalapenos, cream cheese and wrapped them in bacon). If you’ve never had a popper, you’re missing out.
Usually it was a big group that was playing a card game called “Up and Down the River.”
Bill had caught a couple of large crawdads and Cooper was fascinated.
Much of our time was spent out on the deck rocking and relaxing.
Three sweet girls headed to a bible class taught by Keith Lancaster.
Kenny didn’t have a lot of luck fishing and the water was plenty cold.
I did catch one nice one. (Brian, no making fun of my vest
)
Next year I’m inviting all the blogging world to come go with us. Wanna go?
See you Monday…

welcome home.
I actually have a similar vest, although it isn’t for fishing.
all the old men in italy wear vests with lots of pockets, i like it because I can carry all my stuff.
I may take mine to bible camp next week
Looks like you had a good time. Glad that you and your family had some time to relax and enjoy!
Trey,
Thanks for sharing the photos from your vacation and creating envy and jealousy in me.
It looks like you had a great time.
Sounds like you had a great time…I think I recognize some of those places and people (was that Bo with a beard??)! Glad you’re back to blogging, I always enjoy your posts! Thanks for sharing your fun time with us!
Glad you had fun in NM. I mostly stopped by to ask you to pass on my message to Cooper. I like Ice Cream at church events too. Glad he had a good time at VBS. Pretty impressive to make the Chronicle at such a young age.
Sounds like you had fun, I wouldn’t know what that was.
Glad you enjoyed your vacation! Welcome back.
Great pictures. Glad you enjoyed the mountains and the special times with family and friends.
Saw Cooper’s picture in “Christian Chronicle.” Home made ice cream is his favorite part of VBS, huh?
Glad you are back blogging.
Glas you had such fun. It looks beautiful there.
Glad to know you missed blogging as I missed your blog! Great pix … I love to fly fish and did it often with my father-in-law during my grad school days, often skipping morning classes for the Tennessee River.

glad ya made it back safe!
i looked at all the pics. and parker and the fishing get up… that might be the funniest picture i have seen in a long time! creek and chloe loved it… they kept wanting to see it! tell him thanks for the entertainment!
I just spent a week in Lake Tahoe and found myself wondering if I would enjoy fly fishing. I have to wonder because I don’t enjoy regular fishing – as in sitting on the bank of polluted lake and hoping that the perch that accidentally gets caught on my hook doesn’t have 3 eyes.
My thought is that fly fishing would be more enjoyable because it would more than likely occur in a mountain stream, the fly fishing “action” is more fun than just sitting there watching a bobber in water, and finally, if the fish aren’t biting then you can always just take in the scenery . . . assuming that you’re standing in a mountain stream.
Glad you had a chance to get away!
