uhh i ran to that one house that we were staying at in mexico ( jacobs) and it was dark and it was like two blocks away but its all good now i know that im not the only one! nice to talk about mexico memories with someone that was there!

We took a drive with a 95-year old man today. He invited us to dinner and insisted on driving. It was a little nerve wracking turning corners, squealing tires, but we made it to lunch and back to the church building. Now I want all your readers to know that a 72-year old man is not a bad driver because of his age, but because he is a bad driver. Guess how old I am – and I have never had an accident and have been told I am a good driver!!

I don’t like knowing you do scary things but I did lol at the stories. I’ve rode with some teenagers that was about as scary.
I don’t like to ride with really old people. I’m old and I quit driving myself. I try not to look when I get in those situations with scary drivers. Wonder why my head is down? Praying avails much.

I’ve driven with a young driver like that! If you’ve been a lousy driver all your life,your bad habits have been entrenched and possibly accentuated by old age. If you’ve been a great driver, like my in-his-nineties dear friend who still drives a sporty Jaguar,you will still be a competent, safety conscious driver until you know it is time to stop driving and you willingly give up your license.

I’m not really on the defensive because I’m getting older, really, I’m not, lol.

@ Lisa lol, it is so hard to break their wittle old hearts. I too have a very old friend who used to insist on driving us everywhere, so off we would go on four tires and a prayer. But what I find even funnier is, why do we insist on getting in their cars in the first place? Hmmm, maybe because we can't say no to our elders or just maybe because we choose to care enough not to hurt the ones we love.
I think when God sees such displays of love & trust He must punch the air in delight and send us an extra few tons of protection =)!

Same thing happened to me one morning. I always pick up a lady and we go eat breakfast. One morning she insisted on picking me and Maude up for breakfast. When we got in she said “I didn’t realize it was dark this early, I can’t really see in the dark.” She drove the whole way using the curb as her guide.
