  1. Tim Archer says:

    That’s my candidate too!

  2. Mike says:

    Trey,

Then I will be listening to you.

  3. Paula Harrington says:

Wow, if either of the candidates were even remotely like Jesus I would know who to vote for.

Had lunch with two good friends in Paducah, KY today and the daughter of one of them was telling me how the Aimers were coming to town next week (to the Lone Oak church) . I told her to look Taylor up :)

  4. Laura says:

If preachers would “tend their flock” like they are called to do, then they (preachers) wouldn’t have to tell them who to vote for, the congregation would be led to make the right decision.
Also, what does that show people when pastors knowingly break a law?

  5. blogprophet says:

    Jesus is the answer…

  6. preacherman says:

I didn’t preach today I’ve had a severe migraine for 5 days. So my dad came down and preached for me. You can learn more on what is going on wth me on my blog. Trey I am so glad you preached Jesus. I am going to give it a listen. I hope you have a great night.

  7. Preston Belt, Beautiful Downtown Lockney, Texas says:

I had a guy I looked up to a great deal when I first started selling that shared some advice with me. “Never talk politics, family, or religion while selling.”. I have found, many years later, you never miss an opportunity to be like Christ. Keep preaching the word!!!!

  8. Israeli Mom says:

Amazing that they would even think about preaching about politics. You’d think people were getting enough of that as it is.

  9. cwinwc says:

Too bad you couldn’t add audio to your blog Trey:

“I’m Trey Morgan and I approve this message.”

  10. Anonymous says:

And that is how it should be! Christians, preachers, etc who are extremist in politics can do more harm than good! Be the example people

  11. roadtripray says:

I carefully avoid politics in the pulpit and even when I’m just talking with church members one-on-one. Because too many people are so dead set on one political side or the other. I’m trying to win them to Christ, not to a political candidate. If I upset them about my preference in political candidates, perhaps they’ll stop listening and miss the gospel message. It’s too high of a risk to take.

Besides, as Laura earlier mentioned if a preacher does a good job of teaching scripturally they won’t need to micro-manage the decisions of their flock. Equip them to listen to God, and let God rule their hearts.

    Peace,
    Ray

  12. Famous Quotes says:

    Thats my candidate

  13. Dawn Jenkins says:

That what Jesus would do! love the 10 things I never do when my kids are home post too!!!

  14. belinda says:

Thank YOU! I wish more preachers would do that.
