This past December, a group of us met at the dump in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for a banquet. Sounds crazy doesn’t it … for who has a banquet at a dump?
Instead of serving food from the back of a pickup, we rented chairs and tables that were covered in white tablecloths. Instead of the people of the dump waiting in line for food, we served them while they sat. And, instead of serving them a sandwich or a bowl of beans … we served Carnitas’, the best food in Honduras.
