It was a long, but fun drive to Miami. Taylor and I enjoyed visiting and seeing lots of new things.

When we arrived we met a lot of the people the Miami AIM team will be working with. I learned that they will actually be working more in the Homestead area.

I fly out in the morning. After a stop on Charlotte NC, I’ll head to Dallas where Lea and the boys will pick me up at the airport.

┬áSince we’re already going to be in the area, we’ll have to catch a Rangers game before heading home to Childress. Prayers for safe travels would be appreciated.

Now, I must get off this beach and go look for Crockett and Tubbs. They were by far the coolest Miami people ever.

I lived on the Space Coast for 8 years and only went through Miami on a flight from LA to Orlando. But I do trust you had a good flight home.

Wish I could join you at the game! I think this weekend will be a good matchup. But the Finney Family Reunion takes priority this weekend. No baseball for me. :)

    Hi Trey,
We have mutual friends/terri and marc tindall attended church with us here in Columbus, MS and we love them and try to support them every way we can.
We use to live in Homestead, FL and attend the Church of Christ in Homestead. Lisa and Tom Coppock still live there and hopefully Lisa is still faithful. We also still keep in touch with a strong faithful elder/member, roland harris and his wife. I just read your blog about Homestead mission work and was wondering what people you might have met and we may know also. It has been 35 years and I am sure it is a long shot you met Lisa or Roland? have to ask anyway. Lisa's kids are grown and perhaps her children were involved.

I appreciate all the Childress, TX workers. I also was touched by all the contributions made towards feeding the dump people in Honduras.

It is really a small world when you think about it. My church family has grown so much in the past 42 years attending many congregations. I feel a spirit of love for all my brothers and sisters all over the country.

Love and prayers to a fellow brother in Christ. ginger

    One more note.
I may have confused you saying we attend the Homestead Church when in fact, we ATTENDED 35-37 years ago and now attend Columbus Church of Christ in Columbus, MS.

I still keep up with many congregations we attended through the years.

    Hi Ginger,

I'm looking forward to getting to know the Tindalls better :)

And I met a bunch of people in Miami this week. Unfortunately I can't remember any of their names. I'm sorry. I mainly spent time with the kids and was only there for a Wednesday night high school bible class.

It is a small world …

    Hey Trey,
I knew it was a long shot! thanks for writing the note back on your blog.
Terri emails me every single day. She is one of a kind.
My son in law, Tim Hines left from Louisiana today to fly to Honduras and work with TORCH.

You may know Tim since it is indeed a small world.

  • He was pretty tough to listen to as well.
  • As crazy as it might sound, Chris Collinsworth just might be worse to listen to than the song Christmas Shoes.
  • Please remember that some Christmas music is incredibly offensive to people with grandmothers who actually were run over by reindeer.
  • Unfortunately, not a great night for "bobcats." :)
