32 hours from Childress, Texas to Mexico City on a bus (and then another 32 hours to get home again). - Walking close to 6 miles a day.
- Handing out invitation to study the Bible.
- Picking up trash.
- Seeing a few sights.
- Working in communities.
- Feeding the homeless.
- Serving others.
Sounds like a TON of fun to me. Personally, I’m looking forward to the growth that our little group of 35 will experience from a trip like this. We leave this morning and we’ll be back next Wednesday. For those that are interested, I’ll do updates on the blog. Thanks for your prayers.

Here are a few interesting links you might enjoy …
- Last week’s sermon: “Know How To Stop.” I started the sermon with watching Cooper’s bicycle crash. That was fun.
- Tammy Ross wrote a GREAT piece in the Christian Chronicle on “ministers and their families.” Check it out here.
- Church members come and church members go. Why do they leave? What’s our response? What’s a church to do? A must reads for every minister/ elder/ church leader. Read them here and here.
- I miss my fellow blogger Don. Please “blog” again.
- Finally, here is a MUST for all parents. If it were only this easy, huh? I’m not sure the Morgan’s need the “stop/screaming” button, but the “attitude/off” button could come in handy. Ooh, and the “tidy room” button … I really like that one!

Have a great time in Mexico City. That is always such a great trip. I’m glad your whole family gets to go. Hope you are able to update while you’re there.
may it be a blessing to them , and to y’all!
Will be praying for your trip.

Wish we were going with you! Praying for a safe and successful trip. I happen to love the remote and agree some of the buttons would be nice to use.

Sounds like a great trip except for the bus ride. We took a bus trip with my son’s choir this past April. 14 hours each way on a bus with the driver from you know where. I can’t imagine 32 hours each way. There aren’t enough motion sickness patches or Dramamine for me for that long of a ride!
I love the control a kid remote!! But I’m sure it would be one of those products that always had some kind of glitch!!
Have a great trip! I know your group will be a great blessing in Mexico City. Blessings!
I will be praying for your trip as well.
I pray your trip is a huge success and that everyone remembers to carry God’s message with them to Mexico City. I enjoyed your sermon, too, as always. Have a great week!
Trey have a great trip.
I’m praying for y’all for this trip. God bless it! A little advice: don’t eat the beans or the hot sauce. I got really sick from eating them. I stayed away from them the rest of the time and didn’t get sick again. Blessings!
Godspeed on your trip and mission!
