I got up this morning at 5 a.m. to go run. Call me crazy, but I did it because it was important to me so I made it a priority. We pretty much make time to do anything we REALLY want to do.
So what do you say to someone who says, “I’m finding it hard to squeeze some quiet time with God into my daily schedule.”
Let me just simply say that if you can’t find time for God and His word on a daily basis … then it must not be a big priority in your life. AND if you’re not finding any time because your schedule is packed, then it’s time to give your ‘to-do’ list a major overhaul. You need to place a high priority on spending quiet time with God each day. Each day is a gift from God, and if you are wise, you’ll spend a few quiet moments each day thanking God for being so good.
So if you’ve acquired the unfortunate habit of trying to “squeeze” God into the corners of your life, it’s time to reshuffle the items on your priority list by placing God first. Make it a priority everyday to place God into your schedule.

Good thoughts. As I like to say, it's the difference between a Christian life and a Christian hobby.
What I really want to know, though, is how did you and Mike Cope end up using the same graphic today?
amen! needed to hear it and plan to share it.
thanks
Words of wisdom … immense wisdom. Good reminder to all of us.
That hit hard …. Yesterday I made a plan for this morning. I was to get back in my old habit; to get up at 5am to have some serious, "uninterrupted" devotion & prayer time. Instead I kissed Duane goodbye as he left for work then I fell back asleep…. This post was for ME! ~Kristina
Easier said than done…
Sometimes I use my hobby to make time…..I listen to sermons, my Bible on CD or an inspirational book I am reading (on tape) on my way to and from playing tennis. I try to make the most of my time spent in the car. I love to listen to music, but I devote that time to growing and knowing God……
Having said that…I still need to work on the priorities!
Amen and Amen, we can't ever spend to much time with God.
Unless I'm really not well and even if I am okay, there is no excuse for not praying or reading God's word. If we memorise scripture this can be a great way to have the word of God hidden in our heart. I've known times when I couldn't do anything physically; however, prayer was always something I could do – even if it was "Lord please help me right now, let me feel your everlasting arms underneath and around me. Thank you that when I come to the end of myself, then the Holy Spirit makes utterings and groanings on my behalf. Thank you too that Jesus work on earth is Finished and that he stands before your throne ever making intercessions for us. Dear Lord, there isn't anything in this world that you and I can't face together today! And, I thank and praise your holy name for your unconditional love and mercy to me!
