Join Me on a Summer Mission Trip to Honduras

I promised the details about the summer mission trip to Honduras. I’d love you to come join me.

  • Dates: July 9th – 16th
  • Cost: Approximately $1550 (covers everything but a couple meals.)
  • Who: Anyone 18 and up (Younger can go with a parent/sponsor.)
  • Deposit: A $200 deposit is due on February 27th. This deposit will officially get your name on the list of those going (limited amount of space).
  • Questions: Email me any question you have.
  • Pray about it!

Here’s a few things you’ll be doing…

You will be building houses for those that need one.

You will be visiting and loving those who are sick and hurting.

You will be spending time with children who need to be loved.

You will be giving out clothes and shoes to children who do without.

You will be feeding and ministering to the poorest of the poor, those who work and live at the Tegucigalpia dump.

You will be building life-long friendships.

You will work, serve others and be exhausted, but you'll think it's FUN!

You will help provide a medical clinic for those how need help.

You'll fall in love with the people of Honduras, and it will change your life.

You will be the hands and feet of Jesus to others.  Pray about it and consider spending a week in Honduras with me this summer.

Trey, I have had the pleasure of meeting one of your friends that has gone to Honduras with you (Randy Allen). Randy has visited our church in Altus and through you and Marc, he has lit a fire in us. We are going to Honduras with the Duke, Okla. church and one out of Mississippi. My wife and I can’t wait to go. We look forward to experiencing Honduras in June.

    Trey-

This looks like a great mission. Does the $1550 include airfare? If so, we do those do who do not live near your church?

    Thank you.

    • Trey Morgan says:

Yes. That $1500 quote is from where I live. It’s probably going to work for you too, but if you live WAY off it might be a bit more.

I’ve taken lots who don’t live near me. Email me if you want more details.

      • Ken Brown says:

        Greetings Trey,
My name is Ken Brown. I am a member of the Echo Lake Church of Christ in Westfield, New Jersey. You know our minister Brian Nicklaus. Over lunch yesterday I was telling Brian that I wanted to participate in mission trip this summer. He recommended I take a look at your trip to Hondorus. Well, I must say it looks like just what I want.
I have a few questions: Is there still room for two more people? Can I leave from New Jersey and meet with you in Hondorus? Will you take care of the purchashing of my ticket from New Jersey? Is this your only trip this year? Are there any congregation sponsoring a trip from my area? Is emergency medical evacuation insurance included? Do I need to be immunized?
        Thank you,
        Ken

  • it's still early. :)
  • no worries. Luke is a very popular gospel during the Christmas season. 😜 #BabyJesusStory
  • Mitch Moreland has a combined 1.6 WAR since the start of 2011 at a premium position (DH/1B). That position needs to produce.
  • definitely don't disagree with that. We will miss his glove. But he had such a quiet bat for someone at first base.
  • I only disliked him when he was at the plate.
