Coffee in the morning, not a coke
Early mornings, not late nights
Top 40 music, not country music
Wendys, not McDonalds or Burger King
I like mowing my lawn, running in the rain, chicken fajitas, a good joke, date night, Eddie Vedder, wiffle ball in the driveway, feeding 10 extra teens that are hanging out at my house, people who make me laugh, playing catch with my boys, watching baseball with Lea, double dates, a good sermon and hugging.
And I’m tired of talking about Brett Favre, the upcoming Presidential election, and the Yankees.
NOW . . . how about you? Likes or dislikes?

I like:
Road trips, not flying
Leaders, not lords
Dogs, not cats
The Redskins, not the Cowboys (I couldn’t resist)
I like the beach/ocean and the mountain, NOT the dessert (unfortunate considering my current geographical lot in life)
I like the 49ers, NOT NOT NOT the cowboys
That’s all I’ve got right now
I like reading responses more than coming up with my own responses!

I like to be around people, a few at a time.
I like to laugh and I like to be around fun people – not negative ones.

I like my grandchildren with a grandmothers love.
I like my two daughters-in-law.
I like D.Q. blizzards.
I like to act silly even though I am old. I am child like at heart.
I like talking about God’s word with people who don’t act like they know it all.
I don’t like lots of things but I am not in a negative mode. gmj
I like:
I did like watching my son hit the long ball in high school vs. watching an MLB long ball.
I hope I get to like watching my son hit the long ball in Community College vs. watching an MLB long ball.
I love running 3 miles (while I can) rather than watching someone run 3 miles.
I love backpacking in Colorado vs. backpacking here in Florida.
I love Carrabas Italian Restaurant. I don’t like Pizza Hut.
I love the Pepperdine Bible Lectures. I don’t like the work I have to make up when I come back.
I love to play golf. I apparently don’t like the fairways.
I love going out with my wife. I don’t like when that doesn’t happen for a while.
Trey is right – I take Wendy’s over the other fast food restaurants any day.
I love the Champagne of the South – sweet tea. I don’t like unsweet tea unless I have the “pink stuff.”
Odgie – Redskins? you’re killing me!
Timbra – 49ers? That’s worse that Redskins.
GMJ – I’m glad you like your daughter-in-laws.
cwinwc – Great list.
I like reading your blog and reconnecting to what my best friend from the “good old days” and her husband and family are up to. I don’t like the fact that it’s been YEARS since we have gotten to connect in person!
Trina
Hmmmmmm.
I like listening to Noah laugh, not listening to him fuss.
I like killing pixellated mobs with my husband, not server maintenance days.
I like the fact that I can tell you that I’m excited about my new laptop because it has a dual core processor AND because it’s purple. And has a little purple mouse.
I like vampires that sparkle, not those that don’t.
I like arguments that make sense, not illogical and inconsistent ones.
I like the fact that I’m starting grad school for the first time, not the fact that I’m taking out student loans for the first time.
I like the fact that I’m working on my recovery, but not the fact that recovery is (right now) SO much more exhausting than being an addict. Food = my drug of choice. Working on it…
I like sitting outside with Kyle on our glider while Noah buries toys in the sandbox, cooking good food, going to the museum with my little brother, taking photographs of stuff I like to look at, and snuggling on the couch while watching such romantic classics as “Ace of Cakes” and “NCIS.”
I don’t like listening to people talk about politics if they haven’t done some reading of their own, I don’t like people who whine rather than help, and I don’t like it when Noah’s sick and can’t tell me what hurts.
