Want to go to Honduras With Me This Summer?

If you’re interested in going with me to Honduras this summer (or even slightly interested), I’ll be giving all the details about this trip this Sunday, at 5:15, at the church’s fellowship hall (210 2nd street SE). Come here all the details.

If you live outside Childress, and would like to go (or know more) … I’d LOVE to have you make the trip with me this summer. I will have all the details up for you on my blog next week. I’ll be telling you … dates, cost, when deposits are due, what steps you need to take, etc.

Wouldn’t you like to …

* Step out of your comfort zone?
* Step out in faith?
* Open your arms and heart?
* Take a chance?
* Hold an orphan?
* Build a home?
* Feed the hungry?
* Befriend the lonely?
* Comfort the broken-hearted?
* Share the good news about Jesus?
* Be the hands & feet of Jesus?

Then come go with me. Our theme this year is “Honduras 2011 … Hands & Feet of Jesus.”

Here’s what my friend Vanessa wrote after she went with me to Honduras this past December, “I was told that my trip to Honduras would be ‘life changing.’ Fairly vague term when you are speaking to a detail -oriented person. Upon returning to the US, I read on Trey’s blog that Honduras cannot be explained. Honduras is an experience. Stories can be told, money can be raised, and pictures shared, but for God to show you His face in the eyes of a Honduran woman who says to you “en nombre Jesus” and sweetly kiss your cheek when you hand her a cup of Coke… that is something you can only experience. Open your heart to the possibilities that God has for you, maybe at home or in Honduras, but open your heart. Take a leap of faith and believe that God will use you because He does and He will. Honduras changed my outlook, revived my spirit, and opened my eyes and heart to the possibilities that God has placed before me. Find your Honduras and embrace it. See Jesus face to face…you won’t forget the experience.”

DON’T miss out on this summer’s trip to Honduras.

    hhhmmm just today I stood in Hobby Lobby holding the cutest pink passport holder. It reminded me of my New Year’s resolution to get my passport this year……I placed it back where I found it.

    Maybe I need to go back and drop the $2.00 + tax

    ……I may need it…..

    I would love to hear more about the trip. Don’t know if I can talk Cody into going too, but i think it would be so neat! Would love to learn more about!!

  6. Not sure how it could happen, but I’m praying about it. I’d love to go, but time (because of work and other commitments) and money can be an issue. Also priorities with Brazil….

    Again, praying about it. We’ll see.
