Granted I have 2 boys and a baby girl, but she eats just as much as the boys! Between my 3 kids and my husband, our grocery bill is insane and my kids are under 5! I think I will have to get a second job to keep up with the food bill. :) My hubby has told me stories from HS and college and how much he ate, so I am preparing myself now! I feel your pain. If you family is like mine, the youngest is the one who eats the most. We can cook scrambled eggs with ham and cheese and he will eat two plates full with 4 pieces of toast. Within five minutes of walking away from the table he wants a bowl of cereal, followed by a handfull or two of chips. And, believe me, lunch can’t come quickly enough for this little boy.

The good news in all of this is that the cycle never ends — grandchildren!

I was embarrassed and told him that was enough. He said, "But mom, the sign says all you can eat and I am still hungry" Still embarrassed and obviously not thinking clearly I told him he could eat when we got home. He did! He ate several bowls of cereal and a couple slices of toast. Our son could eat his weight in chicken and enjoyed 13 chicken breasts! They will eventually move out and then you can start saving a little money. Until then, ask the elders if you can get on the benevolence list for help! After all, if they don't take care of their own, they are worse than infidels ... to slightly twist a passage to your benefit. This is funny … and brings back memories.
