The average American family spends about $341.98 on food per week. Here’s what a weeks worth of food looks like.
The people at the dump today will eat what they find or what they are given. Thankfully today we have an opportunity to give to help feed the people who live at the dump outside of Santa Ana, Honduras.
So who’s willing to help give today to feed the hungry?
Here is what let’s do … if you’re willing to give today please let us know by leaving a comment that you intend to give. If you’re willing, let us know how much you’re sending so we can get an idea if we’ll reach our $2500 goal today. If you’re uncomfortable saying who you are, then just leave it as “Anonymous.” Anything will help today … $10, $25, $100 … anything!
Also. don’t forget we have a kind gentleman who has pledged to match dollar for dollar anything given over the $2500 goal (up to $2500). Meaning if we can raise $5000 this week, he’ll write a check for $2500. That, my friends, would be awesome.

What an amazing day. I just talked to Terri and we are going to be able to change the menu some because so many care and want to join this ministry. Thank you God for an amazing outpouring of HOPE.
As we talked about yesterday, we are planning on the “Great Banquet” in early December. We are going to find a way to feed everybody in a sit down meal. Everybody will be served and fed until they are full. We want to invite anybody that wants to be a part of this to come to Honduras to be a part of this amazing day. It will be like the great banquet that Jesus spoke of.
I have been travelling for most of today and my wife has been keeping me up to date on the changing total. Thank you for seeing a need and responding.

WOW! I have been away for most of the day. I am humbled by the generocity of so many for this project of feeding those that very possibly might not have anything but scraps from the dump. It is a sight that is unimaginable. I give praises to God for each of you that are contributing, and for those that prepare and distribute the food. We are blessed beyond measure compared to most of the world.

Well, I wrote this long comment, but somehow it disappeared…
Anyway, in essence I said that I wanted to blog and contribute this morning (I barely got a tweet out!), but did not have time before I left for my subbing job…and have just now had time to sit down & check what has gone on today…and how AWESOME!!! I love all of the great comments, the willingness to give, the inspiration and awesomeness of the 3rd grade class, & the realization that we are so blessed and have these great opportunities to give!
I also wish I could give more, but am privileged with this opportunity to help these precious people of God, and want to contribute $20. I have certainly discovered what an incredible blessing the online Body can be and is, & am so grateful for it! Thanks, Trey for giving us the chance to play a part in being the hands & feet to these people.
