Dump Day 2011 Follow Up

For those who’ve been checking for an update from Wednesday’s Dump Day, according to our best guesstimate, we cleared $35,000 Wednesday night. This is such a huge blessing. We SO wanted to continue the amazing Dump Ministry. Thanks to EVERYONE who gave, fasted and helped spread the word.

To say that Dump Day 2011 was a HUGE success, is an understatement. In economic times when “experts” say people just aren’t giving, over $35,000 was given in one day to continue the work at the dump in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. So much for the “experts” :) Also a MASSIVE thanks to Marc Tindall, Bobby Moore, and Bread For a Hungry World.

We’ll have a better estimate on the amount given in about two weeks. I’ll let you know. They fed at the dump on Wednesday. Here are some of the pictures that my friend, Andy Hubright, took. (CLICK HERE)

Once last thing:  A new website has begun, and I’m loving it. It’s a website that’s covering the HUGE vegetable garden in Honduras that’s underway now. It also has dump work updates, etc. Check it out and save it in your favorites.

SOOOO awesome about the garden, the sustainable nature of doing something like this over just a single meal is AMAZING. . .i am so excited to hear about the growing nature (no pun intended) of this ministry and the vision of those in Honduras to continue to find ways to help people help themselves! AWESOME! thank you for letting so many of us be a part of this ministry in ways great and small through your dump day!!!!

  • He was pretty tough to listen to as well.
  • As crazy as it might sound, Chris Collinsworth just might be worse to listen to than the song Christmas Shoes.
  • Please remember that some Christmas music is incredibly offensive to people with grandmothers who actually were run over by reindeer.
  • Unfortunately, not a great night for "bobcats." :)
