Unfortunately, I heard it again this week. And if I had a nickel for every time someone has said it I’d be wealthy man. So what’s the statement?
“I’m finding it hard to squeeze some quiet time with God into my daily schedule.”
Let me just simply say that if you can’t find time for God, then it’s time to give your ‘to-do’ list a major overhaul. You need to place a high priority on spending quiet time with God each day. Each day is a gift from God, and if you are wise you’ll spend a few quiet moments each day thanking God for being so good.
So, if you’ve acquired the unfortunate habit of trying to “squeeze” God into the corners of your life, it’s time to reshuffle the items on your priority list by placing God first.
When’s the last time you reshuffled your “to-do” list?

Each day is a gift!
and should be thankful for everyday we have!
making time is different than finding time.
we make time for thing we want to do. we try to find time for things we “have” to do
I really needed to be reminded of this Trey! Quiet time first.
Brian, you are so right. I need to make the time.
This drives me nuts, too!
If people could add up all the time they spent complaining about not having any time then they may actually realize that they have plenty of time to do whatever it is they think they don’t have time to do.
(Man, I hope that made sense!)
You’re absolutely right, Trey! It’s all about priorities!
Short, sweet and straight down the line. Exactly how I like my sermons!!!
Thanks Trey. Needed this reminder right now. You’re a real treasure – wish we weren’t on opposite sides of the world (but isn’t a blessing the internet crosses those physical boundaries!).
Just a few weeks ago I reshuffled my quiet time with God. I’m so glad for once I’m finally in step with someone’s blog instead of being off the mark.
One more thing, since I now have quiet time with God, I am black and blue from satan beating me up. OUCH!

Very true…
Time for me to re-shuffle once the semester gets rolling and I know my class schedule!
