One of the healthiest things Lea and I do in our marriage is read together. After we both agree on a book, I’ll read a chapter or two, and then when she gets time, she’ll do the same. Then we talk about and discuss what we read before moving on in the book. It has really helped our marriage to grow and mature. Some of the books we’ve read together recently are books like The Shack, Red Hot Monogamy, His Needs Her Needs, Financial Peace, The Story and others.
Today I’d like to give you the book “The Love Dare,” written by Stephen & Alex Kendrick. It’s a 40 day journey that will strengthen your marriage. Each chapter is only 2-3 pages long and gives you a “daily dare” or challenge for you and your spouse to carry out. If you’re unable to complete the daily challenge, it’s been suggested that you repeat that chapter until you do. You won’t want to take the “dare” challenges lightly.
Nothing would make Lea and I happier than giving away something that would promote and help build strong marriages. If you don’t win a book, I’d still suggest ordering one of them here. I’m going to use a website called “Random.org” to pick the winner. All you have to do is leave me a comment and it automatically puts your name into the hat. We’ll pick the winner at the end of the week.
Lea and I are actually just getting started on this book so come join us for the next 40 days as we strive to better our marriage. As the books says, “Dare to take The Love Dare, and see your marriage change forever.”
Good luck and as always, thanks for reading.
(FEBRUARY 9 – AND THE WINNER IS … And the random number chosen was the number 53. That makes the winner…Karen Risley! Congratulations Karen on winning “The Love Dare.” I hope it blesses your marriage.)

Thanks for the giveaway!

I am looking forward to seeing this movie on the 14th can not wait to see it
First time commenter but frequent visitor to your blog. I feel like I know you and your family. Oh, and pick me, please!
Saw the movie “Fireproof” with my husband and Jeff and Jill Slater on my husbands 47th birthday. It was awesome!
Did you see the book “Fireproofing Your Faith”?
My wife and I had a rough 2008 and we went to see “Fireproof” shortly after it came to theaters. We found the movie to be just what we needed to re-focus our realtionship. Two rules I have at movies are to grab a lot of napkins for the popcorn and to not cry no matter how emotional a movie might be. I’m glad I held on to rule 1 at that movie because I needed all the napkins I had grabbed after not keeping rule 2. Great movie and I’m glad to see the book come out to help us further our relationship. I’ll hold off buying the book another week to see if I got lucky winning a copy. If not, it’s one book worth the investment. Thanks Trey for this site too. I look forward to it every day. Your marriage focus has helped me/us immensely.
I never thought about reading with my husband what a great idea. Thank you for the giveaway.
Looking forward to reading the book
I love your blog and your giveaways! And this one is a great keeper.

I am so compeltely stoked about doing the dare! I’m ready to begin right this second, but then again, the very 1st day is supposed to teach about patience…apparently I need guidance in that area.
If nothing else, I at least ask that you, and everyone reading, pray for me and my partner! Thank y’all!

STUNNING…that what I say to the movie and if only I can win this book … I am ready for the challenge and boy if that was the movie imagine the real life experience and challenges one will face ….PRAYER and DETERMINATION is what it takes..
My wife and I just watched Fireproof for Father's Day. We both were touched by the message that it portrayed. But even after that, we both admit that there is an emptyness in our marriage after 6 years. I love her, but I don't get the same feeling in return. What's funny is that the things Kirk said to his wife about being ungrateful, selfish, and spoiled, I have said that to my wife way before this movie evolved. I am not asking for a hand out, but whatever it takes for me to do what I can to win my wife's heart back, in the name of GOD, I will do. Trey, a thank you and your wife for the work that you do and pray that the LORD continues to bless you and your family.
QUWRIGHT …
If you'll email me I think I know where I can get you a book.
Blessings,
Trey
