I’m hiding out at the Tulsa Workshop where I’ve run into a lot of old friends, fellow bloggers and long winded preachers 😉 I meant to post this yesterday, but didn’t get a chance.
I was reminded this week that being the church is not only proclaiming the message of Jesus, but also being the hands and feet of Jesus by serving other people. Childress was so blessed to have the AIM students spend 3 days this week in Childress working and serving. They cleaned, painted, served and loved people for Jesus. They also told others about Jesus. These young people were to me a great reminder about how important it is to be a servant to others.
Taking a break from painting.

Raking leaves at the city park.
Cleaning up the little league baseball field.

Cooper hung out with the AIM students and learned about serving others.

We spent an evening relaxing and playing.
Snakes needed a kill’n :)
Ranato, a young man from Brazil, will be going to Mexico next month to do mission work.

Working at the playground.

The evening devotionals and singing were amazing.

Thanks for spending your week with us AIMers … you are my heroes! You are in our prayers as you leave next month to do missions throughout the world.

can’t wait for our team to get here. . . mostly? I’m looking forward to the singing. . . our youth here aren’t very “in to” singing and no one really knows a lot of devo songs. . .it will be nice to have some familiar NEW songs to sing with others. . . .
