Our youth minister, Nate and some teens at our church made this video last month for a huge youth conference at LCU. The video is shot in the lovely city of Childress, Texas. You’ll see Childress Jr. High building and the church building right toward the end. Plus, it also has my favorite 3 Doors Down song of all time.
Although the video is for teens, adults can seriously learn from this too. What can you learn? Hopefully you’ll see that you can’t say you’re a Christian and not act like it. And, if you are a Christian, you’ve got to live differently from the world, all the time, not just on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Check this out, it’s pretty cool.
Bonus Points: Can you find my son Taylor in the video? (Somewhere around minute 2)

We’ve got some good kids in our midst. Too many times they get out shadowed by the bad ones.
Great video!
Is Taylor driving the truck?
What a message. There are so many things I could touch on. You are right it has a strong message for EVERYONE. We have to do the hard thing and be Jesus even when everyone around us is not. We will always have the choice to be the world or be Jesus. Many times our choice will make us feel like we are alone. We have to be willing to die to ourselves. We cannot do this unless we are in His word and with Him in prayer. Excellent message!
that was great!
I could never be a yute minister. i don’t know how to edit video
NB – Yep, good call. Taylor was driving the white pickup.
Trey,
That’s one of the most powerful 4 minutes I’ve seen in a long time.
Thank you so much for sharing this with the blog-world. Please tell the young people they did a great job.
In Him,
Adam

Love this video and the one from QMCC but Great Messages!
WOW! I have goose bumps. When it was over, I said aloud, “That was so good,” and it was! We DO have great kids in Chidress; I see them every day during the school year and I think sometimes the above commenter is right…they get overshadowed by those who are making poor choices.
I am so proud of these kiddos and proud to have taught some of them, as well!
Very good! I wish I’d had people on my staff that could make decent videos . . . I’ve seen so many good videos to bring out a point in a lesson or a sermon (is there a difference?). Thanks for sharing. Now I’m going back to see the driver of that white pickup.
Great video
Thanks for sharing it with us.
I enjoyed it alot.
I miss Encounter. Sooooo much fun!
Excellent. Simply excellent. Can we share it?
GREAT VIDEO!! I loved seeing many of my students in the video (including Taylor)! Great message…thank you for posting this so that the many people who go to your site can see it.
Honestly that made me tear up…I guess because I work in High School and I see this daily….It is such a different place then when we were in school. The pressures are unbelievable. And as it comes to that time again, please pray that the 2008-2009 school year is a positive one for all students. Some students will stick out and will stand up for the right thing…and the students in this video are the ones that I am talking about… SUCH A WONDERFUL GROUP OF YOUTH at the Church of Christ….Let them know I love their video and I wish all students could see it!
You rock TREY & NATE..Keep up the good work!

Wait.. Cheese was driving Pete’s truck? Nice. lol.
That’s a really cool video, btw, with a powerful message. I enjoyed it. =)
Thanks for sharing this with us Trey. Great video!
For those of you wondering, not all of us youth ministers can edit or create videos. Some don’t have the technology and others don’t have the know-how (I have both maladies). However, there are some great sites out there that have very good videos to use for teens and adults. Bluefish.tv is one, and sermonspice.com is another good one. I’m sure there are other good sites people know about, too. You don’t have to know how to use the technology to be able to utilize it. I hope to use this video with our teens one day soon. Thanks for sharing!
i was in that video ….. and did you know that that was jodi’s hand that pinched mo’s butt
