I read this morning that Americans will spend $470 billion dollars buying gifts this Christmas. That’s a staggering $11 million dollars EVERY MINUTE from Black Friday until Christmas Day. I just wanted to remind you that most of the world doesn’t live like you and I do. This amazing picture is of a “modern” neo-natal unit and crib room at the Western Regional Hospital in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras, where they have no money to buy real cribs. Wouldn’t it be great if this Christmas you and I spent as much on feeding and helping the poor as we did buying gifts for those who really have plenty? If that sounds good to you, you might check out World Vision or Bread For a Hungry World. Both are great organizations helping the poor throughout the world.
Babies in a Cardboard Box … Amazing!

Every time I see a shot of hundreds waiting in line for hours to buy the latest version of whatever Apple has to offer, I think about how much has been reported on how bad our economy is these days. No, something is not adding up just right.
