A PROUD DADDY

I’m first up every morning in the Morgan house. I find that it’s the best time for things like quiet-time, coffee and SportsCenter. Not too far behind me is Cooper, who is usually the first up to greet me. He came dragging into the room yesterday, still half asleep and climbed up in the chair next to me.

“Morning Coop,” I said. “Would you like me to turn it to a cartoon for you?” That’s usually one of his first requests.
“No, it’s okay, just leave it here,” he said. “I want to watch SportsCenter for a while.”
My chest swelled, and I might have even had a tear in my eye. I’m sure proud of that boy!

That is so sweet. Moments like that are precious.

My babies will be 37 next month and my first daughter will be 45. My middle daughter will be 42 in January.

It's hard to explain since I'm "39 and holding". :)

PS Trey, thanks for the very nice compliment yesterday. You and a lot of other people have certainly encouraged me in the last few days. I can't seem to wipe the smile off of my face. :)

A major step in the direction of a child becoming a man! My word verification is "wicked." I think years ago that would have been the perfect word. I'm not sure what the "yutes" are saying these days, other than "groovy" isn't one of their terms.

ha ha ha. . . Alani was begging to watch a movie that she's watched 86
times this week already, yesterday, I told her we could watch it AFTER she took a nap. . . so she finally said "Can we watch Food Network Challenge?" (which happened to be starting in 10 minutes. . . and we watch almost every evening, but the TV wasn't even on. . . kids!!!)

    Congratulations!

On Wednesday night, we were driving to church when from the back seat my 6 year old son said, "Daddy, I found my booger!"

    "You did?"

"Yeah! It was on the seat where I left it! But now it's hard!"

    My wife said, "Ewe!"

"Wanna see it?" he asked as if someone would have to be crazy to NOT want to see it.

    I'm a proud daddy, too. :)

Your boys all sound great, but…you really need to bring back a little girl from Honduras so she can balance out the level of testosterone in your house a little more! :)

Trey up a boy in the way he should go…and that way is, 'da-da' followed closely by 'da da da – da da da!'

    He said that?
He must love you so much.
