Since my Mom has become a regular reader of my blog I have learned some things about my posts. For one, my Mom still gets on to me about using words I shouldn’t. Here I used the “F” word (no, not that f-word) and here I used the “B” word. After each of those posts she reminded me that those two words weren’t words I should be using. I would tell you exactly what there were, but she might get me again for using them :)

I’ve also learned that my mom likes it when I post about family news and put up pictures up of her grandsons. It helps her to see what’s going on in the Morgan family. So Mom, here are some pictures for you. I love you.

Taylor asked to go to an Atlanta Braves game for his 18th birthday. So here are Taylor, Parker and I in Houston at Minute Maid Park, to see the Braves play the Astros. Although it was a 1000 mile trip in less than 24 hours, we still had a great time.

Out in front of the baseball stadium you’ll find Parker & Taylor with a statue of Craig Biggio who played for the Astros.

Parker just beats the throw to second as he slides in safely for a stolen base. There were a few people standing around watching us take different poses with the statues. I’m sure they thought we were a little weird.

For Parker’s 16th birthday he got a Texas Ranger’s jersey and of course the old pickup that you can see here.

Mom, as you know we measure the boys every year on their birthday to see how much they’ve grown. Parker was 6’4” this year (about an inch taller than me).

Cooper’s turn to being measured. Although he’s not quite 6’4” he told us, “One day I will be.”

Cooper riding the bicycle he picked out for his 6th birthday. The brakes on the new bicycle work much better than the brakes on this one (ha). It was a big crash.

Connor got Taylor his favorite thing for his 16th birthday … a bag of Starburst. Mom, can you tell that Connor has spent the entire summer out in the sun?

Parker, Taylor and Ryan Wakefield. Ryan is the one we call our 5th son, and he’s Taylor’s best friend. We spent a lot of time raising and feeding this kid. Ryan and Taylor are planning on doing AIM together next year. This picture was taken at camp this summer. I have another picture, just like this one, that I took about 10 years ago at the same cross. All three of the boys in the same pose. Pretty cool to see how they’ve changed.

Mom, I just had to put this one in of Lea. Even after spending all day working in the sun, dirt and heat in Mexico City, she’s still absolutely beautiful isn’t she?

Trey, One Sunday morning my mom and your mom had a bible class at the house about bad language… after sitting in on the summary of it over lunch, they decided most words we say are bad… and most of them i learned from my dad! like bull, i dont know what youre suppossed to call a male bovine but saying “bull” is very bad in their book!

Wow, are you bucking for a bigger inheritance or what???? Ha! I’m so glad she told you to clean up your ‘dirty’ language; I have wanted to 4-ever but knew you would give me a hard time. I think you should try the Orbit gum thing.

Oh and “Hi Mom.” Don’t forget that I’m your favorite kid…..

i am so glad that you put this up for your mom, and if your mom can look at your blog i think that my mom ought to be able to look at mine (we are working on it, i have to take her step by step over the phone.) anyway, i really enjoyed all the pics and updates. parker and connor are almost unrecognizable for me since i last saw them at probably 6ish and 3ish. crazy. i can’t believe little parker is now taller than you, an amazing feat. can you ask him if he is still in contact with rocketfire? your family is amazing. you are one blessed guy.

Trey, you might want to talk to your son about the kind of t-shirt
he is wearing (24). Oh no…

Hi Trey’s Mom! Just wanted to repeat what everyone else has said and tell you what a great son he has! He’s definitely an inspiration to a lot of people as you can see on his page!
Thanks for posting all the pics of you and your family! And you know, I’ve never been much of a Texas fan being an Okie and everything, but I didn’t see an OUNCE of you or your family being a Longhorn either (and boy did I check) so I guess you’ve done a pretty darn good job there. :)

Thanks guys for the kind words to my mom. She said she really enjoyed you leaving her a note.

    Let’s see, here’s a few answers to questions…

Dixie – you made me roll in the floor and laugh.

Kim – Rocketfire (an old imaginary friend) hasn’t been see in a long time. But we still speak fondly of him. :)

Sandi’s big sis – That’s a great shirt. I’m trying to teach my boys proper thinking on life. ha

M of the S – Hope you’re okay. We’re not big college football, basketball, etc, fans, but we root for UT when they play. We’re from Texas, what did you expect? :) Do you still love us?

  13. Jeanne M. says:

I am from Texas but never, ever rooted for Texas. My hubby is an SMU grad.

I think it is so great that Taylor is planning to attend AIM next year. The summer before Lon graduated from Sunset in 1975, we took a trip to New Jersey for him to interview with the Bridgewater congregation (we did go there in 1976). The leaders of AIM asked us to drive the church van up there, so the very first AIM group, coming back from Ireland, could use it on their return that year. We met them at the airport, and it was so exciting to listen to their comments about their Adventure. The program is really great, and those who attend are never the same after their experiences. God bless Taylor in his quest to serve the Lord somewhere in His world.

I love all these pictures. 6’4″ that’s amazing but not surprising. I miss seeing y’all every Sunday

  16. Lonestar-Lady says:

    Trey’s Mom,
You have wonderful family in the “Trey Morgan Clan”…I know that you are very proud each and every one of them. I would be! They are a great inspiration to the rest of us.

  17. Mommysmart says:

I love all of the pictures! I still can’t believe that your boys are this big.

  18. Timbra Wiist Owner/Photographer says:

it’s probably a good thing you did that HUGE post of pictures of your boys just to suck up to your mom after calling her a “mean woman” in your christmas tree post just 2 weeks ago. . . . hmmmm! something’s a little fishy here! and what are the two off limits words? you can tell me trey, i won’t tell your mom that you got caught saying them again!

  19. Anonymous says:

Enjoyed all the comments after I finally learned to use them. Just wanted timbra to know that the s word they used is not a good word most words today have secome so common place people don’t realize they are crude, rude or socially unacceptable. Some are a sin, also.
I think Trey is the finest.

  • it's still early. :)
  • no worries. Luke is a very popular gospel during the Christmas season. 😜 #BabyJesusStory
  • Mitch Moreland has a combined 1.6 WAR since the start of 2011 at a premium position (DH/1B). That position needs to produce.
  • definitely don't disagree with that. We will miss his glove. But he had such a quiet bat for someone at first base.
  • I only disliked him when he was at the plate.
