A MONDAY EDITION OF "THIS"

Here are a handful of things that really caught my eye last week, in the latest edition of “this.”

  • Did Tim Tebow, quarterback for the national champion Florida Gators, show us just how biblically illiterate America really is? Check out “this.”
  • I’ve always said that I want to be the kind of person my dog thinks I am. That’s why I absolutely LOVED “this.” Can you imagine being God’s dog?
  • My friend Tucker sent me this link and said, “You’ve got to check out the video on this website.” He was right, as I shook my head in disbelief and thought, “Who comes up with “this” stuff?”
  • I’ve seen battles in divorce court over material possessions, but never over “this.”
  • “This” looks like SO much fun. But I’d like to ask them how they get their skis back?
  • I came up with “these” country western song titles to show Lea just how much I loved her. But “this” video, on the same subject, REALLY made me laugh!
  • Have you made any New Year’s Resolutions? “This” one worked for me!
  • I’ve got a couple of trips coming up over the next month or so. I really wish you could spend the weekend with me “here,” but sorry, you (as well as my kids) can’t come on “this” trip. :)

COMMENT OF THE DAY: Steve said… “Trey, It’s been a while but I saw your post on the John 3:16 worn by Tebow. This kid is great from what I’ve seen. This was not a one time deal for him in every Gator Game I’ve watched this year he has worn a different verse on his eye paint. Way to get the word out Tebow!

That “flying” video was awesome … for those guys! My fear of heights wants no part of it.

    That flying video?? NO WAY!!
The country song title…made me laugh out loud!!

    Thanks for “this” Trey!

The flying video was cool–I imagine there are no skis to get back, they probably break.
I could have gone the rest of my life without knowing about the “bottle”–did you see one of the warnings–don’t let child put bottle or lid in mouth–yuck!
    Thanks for the Monday laugh!

I love your “This” blogs; though I think I rarely comment on them because they always take me off on wild tangents! I’ve seen the base jumping video before; very while and my first thought was also about the skis! Umm, the Pee Pee Bottle; when your “going to the bathroom” bottle and your water bottle looks the same (with the exception of the writing which kids can’t read anyway) your bound for a few unfortunate mistakes along the way, so gross!

Bad news for the rest of the SEC and my Seminoles, Tebow is coming back! Is there any doubt that he is the best player in the Nation with the talent to take over a 4th quarter and make it his.

The google searches of John 3:16 do not surprise me. As a school teacher I can tell you that the number of families with both parents seems to be an endangered species. The disintegration of families in America signals the ever increasing demise of the family.

However, I’m encouraged that a figure like Tim Tebow can encourage so many to ask about John 3:16. Somebody may now be in the Kingdom due to Tebow’s bold displaying of his faith.

After having two boys, we never had trouble with the bathroom thing and then we had a girl. We learned how to hang off the running boards real quick. Never thought to keep it contained…

The base jumping video is cool to watch. However, if I actually experienced it, I’d never have to worry about finding my skis because I’d have a heart attack before I reached the bottom! I don’t trust parachutes!(But I love to watch it!)

    i like “this”

I was mostly surprised that Tebow didn’t come up with something a little fresher than John 3:16. They’ve been waving those John 3:16 posters at sporting events for the last 30 years.

With all of his yelling and nasty faces and waving at the crowd like a steroid-mainlining freak, he was certainly not the best representative of a Christian, I don’t think. I’d really like him to adequately defend his behavior in light of the verses he wears— why bother with the outward signs when it’s not clear there’s any fruit on the tree?

I hope you get to see Carl do a back flip at Las Vegas. Would serve you right for not taking us!

    Trey,

I also noticed that there was a greater representaion of Christian athletes this year in the NCAA. McCoy for UT – I know his grandparents from the Merkel, Tx Church of Christ, and the QB for Tech (forgot his name) also openly claimed Christ. There were several others. All that just to say I was impressed with the Christian athlete numbers this year.

  12. TREY MORGAN says:

    Steve … I agree!

  13. heartafire says:

No he did NOT wear a different verse every time. The only other one I saw was the Phil.4:!3 (I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me).

Again, besides the eye-black, what makes him a Christian in your eyes.
