8 Things That Happened Today (Yesterday):

  • Preached twice
  • I got to hold sweet Baby Noah … found out he’s very ticklish
  • Taught Bible class
  • Enjoyed the day off from running and any other form of exercise
  • Watched the Cowboys game with a house full of company
  • Decorated the Christmas tree (I’ll show you pictures later)
  • Laughed at “this” video
  • Watched NFL highlights with Lea while eating supper in the living room (my favorite thing to do)
  • Hugged LOTS of necks at church (another favorite thing to do)

8 Things I Am Looking Forward To:

  • Christmas
  • Playing games and hanging out with family on Thanksgiving day
  • A big “date night” I have planned next month with Lea. It’ll require dressing up! :)
  • My next run
  • Going to Vegas in March
  • Running this Friday night in the local Jingle Bell Run dressed up as Santa Claus
  • Watching Parker & Connor play basketball this year
  • Heaven

8 Things on My Wishlist:

  • To raise four “good” boys
  • Get my blog moved from blogger to my own domain
  • Replace my “laptop from hell” with a Mac
  • Tickets to the opening day Rangers game
  • Take a cruise
  • Watch my boys grow up
  • Make the Tulsa Workshop this year
  • Two tickets to a James Taylor concert

How come “Walker Texas Ranger” isn’t on the list of TV shows it really should be #1 for your own safety. Did you hear that an episode of Walker Texas Ranger was aired in France, the French surrendered to Chuck Norris just to be on the safe side.)

    I would struggle to come up with 8 restaurants that I like. Because of our schedules, we eat out so much I’ve come to hate just about all of them.

    Went to Church
    Helped with folks that responded to the invitation
    Took wife out to eat lunch at Long Horns
    Enjoyed son playing acoustic guitar in our Praise Band
    Paid $1.79 per gallon for gasoline
    Played 6 games of beach volleyball
    Enjoyed bonfire at friend’s house
    Thought about today’s 5 mile run.

    8 Things I’m looking forward to:
    Frying my turkey.
    Eating my fried turkey.
    Family and friends on Thanksgiving.
    Possible round of golf on Friday.
    Possible fishing for Pompano in the Indian River Lagoon on Thanksgiving.
    Florida State pulling off the major (Please Lord) upset of the top-ranked Gators
    Watching “Christmas Vacation” with family and friends.
    Our annual Church Christmas Party.

    8 Things on my Wish List:
    World Peace. Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
    Quality time with wife.
    Happiness for my son.
    A continued push towards non-denominational faith for our church and our members.
    A big screen T.V.
    For the gas prices to stay low.
    For our economy to recover.
    A trip back to the Pepperdine Bible Lectures to hang out with some good friends.

    I love my Mac laptop and have never had the need or desire to carry Windows around, but I am hoping Heaven won’t have any computers!

    Let me know when the next James Taylor concert is close by. I will fly down, grab Bruce, and we’ll join you!

    Jeanne – Lea is good to me. It did help that the only time Taylor could do it was this weekend.

    cwinwc – GREAT list. I forgot to add the Man vs Wild and Survivor Man to my list. They are favorites around the Morgan house. I also like Christmas Vacation …. a Morgan tradition as well.

    Kevin – The James Taylor concert sounds like a deal. I’ll see what I can work out! :)

    Breakfast with my Bride
    Worked a funeral service
    Played with Psycho-puppy
    Had to tell an employee she might not be working as much due to the economic situation
    Found glass fireplace doors for $50 instead of $600!
    Listened to great piano player who dropped by the mortuary to play for us.
    Attended a small group meeting at this new church we’re visiting.
    Tried to think of far too many lists of “8 things”

    8 Things I’m looking forward to:
    Heaven
    Birth of twin grandchildren
    Watching our grandchildren grow
    Finding a church family where we “fit”
    Practice time on my guitars / banjo
    Developing new friendships
    Many more years of marriage to my Bride of 33 years.
    Time spent with good friends.

    Writing the ultimate blog.
    Health as I age.
    Band of Brothers DVD set.
    Taylor T-5 Koa wood guitar.
    Parking my car in the garage.
    Finish the landscaping at the house.

    Enjoying our pool with our children and grandchildren.

    Did I read correctly and see 2 Tickets to a James Taylor concert? Did you read my post about going to a JAmes Taylor concert this summer in Kansas City, MO with my mom? If not, you should check it out…it is in June’s archive. He is AMAZING!!! My all-time favorite in addition to Alison Krauss.

    two things. . . you could have come to see james taylor in salt lake in august. . i’ll let you know if he comes through again so you can make plans! and what are you going to vegas for in march? maybe we could do a family trip and meet up with you, unless it’s a private romantic getaway!!! its a 7 hour drive for us :) and we love that city!
