22 Years of Marriage

Today Lea and I celebrate our 22nd anniversary. Twenty-two years ago today, my biggest fear wasn’t, “Will she still love me if I screw up my vows?,” or “Can I make her happy?” BUT, “Everyone is going to know what we’re doing in this hotel room!!” :)

I must admit, God knew what he was doing when He sent Lea my way, and to top it off, He has blessed our marriage with four amazing boys. We’ve enjoyed our 22-year journey together as we’ve grown into best friends. We’ve made plenty of mistakes, but the one constant thing we did, was not give up.

Thanks Lea for a great 22 years. I’m looking forward to another 22.

  7. Did you know you were named in the 50 Best Blogs on Marriage Advice list?

    Congratulations. wb

    • Trey Morgan says:

Warren … That’s scary. At least they didn’t add me to their 50 worst … :)

      • Jojo Agot says:

I’m glad your name’s in there. Congratulations!

      • Dee Andrews says:

My blog is in that list, too, Trey, but when they wrote to tell me, I for some reason, thought it was a joke because I just write from my heart about Tom & me and not really to “deliberately” inspire anyone. I just followed Warren Baldwin’s link above, though, and there I am!

I’m just glad, as I know you are with Lea, to be married to the most inspirational, fantastic spouse in the whole wide world whose happiness is my number one priority and whose love for me continues after all of these years to astound me in its fullness.

Happy, happy anniversary to you two today! And may each day from here on out be better than the day before . . . as it is with Tom and me. You can’t ask for better than that!!

  8. Happy Anniversary… 22 years, thats GREAT!! =)

  9. Barry Wiseman says:

Hey… seriously… you’re listed before Gary Smalley’s blog is. Don’t worry, Lea has a pin just in case your head gets too big! LOL

Congrats on 22. Don’t know why I thought it was longer than that. Marsha and I have been married 23 years, 7 months, 15 days and 19 hours, give or take a few minutes. Marsha keeps commenting that I can do that quickly. Don’t know if she’s getting ticked off or in awe! LOL

    • Trey Morgan says:

Who’s Gary Smalley … ba ha ha ha. :) And, I’m a little worried about a guy that can pop those figures off the top of his head at any moment.

  10. Tamie says:

22 years makes me think how cute you two will be at 33 and 44 … and so on. Here’s to infinity and beyond for a wonderful couple!

  11. Leia says:

I hope you both have many many more years together, I hope someday to have the special things that ya’ll have …Congrates…Two Perfect People!!!!!

  12. I was hoping for an embarrassing wedding photo from way-back-when.

As for the hotel room…that fear never crossed my mind on my honeymoon…. 😉

  13. Jo Baird says:

I most admire the goals you two have had and how you have worked together to achieve them. Congratulations to you both.
I looked and you are #27 on the blog list. I’m impressed!

  14. Su says:

I’m pretty sure that’s what everybody worries about on their wedding day. :)

  15. Southern Cheesehead says:

Awww… I was definitely hoping for an old wedding photo including the wedding party so I could see that beautiful blue bridesmaid dress again! :) Guess I’ll have to go pull out the photo albums! Congratulations on so many blessed years together!!

  17. Maggie Beth says:

Congratulations!! I have said it before and I mean it – I enjoy “watching” (reading) your marriage, and family, as God takes you all through lives’ ebbs and flows….Since you are normal people, I have no doubt there ‘have been days!’ ~ but you continued growing your marriage/your family and stayed for the “OTHER” days.

I learn by watching….Maybe one day I’ll have the opportunity, to see whether or not I am a good student! (LOL!!)

“Goin’ to the chapel and we’re gonna get married…….”

    Twenty-two years…….Isn’t that crazy!?!?! (SMILE)

((PS)) Why is there no picture from the wedding on your post!??! (SMILE)!
