We’ve been training for months and our run finally got here. Me and three buddies had a great time traveling to Amarillo for a half marathon this morning. I think we’re all a little sore, but we’ll survive. We ran about 90% of the run in the fog, which made it a little interesting.
Here are “before” and “after” pictures. I have one question for my four running buddies … why am I the only one smiling in the “after” picture. Ha

was that a smile or jsut a grimace,
just kidding!

that’s great – really incredible!

I’m thinking you must have photoshopped your smile… Because you’re wearing a different hat and a different shirt… and who brings two hats to run a race????
Philip – Good call. In you field you better be good at picking out details.
We all brought a change of clothes. Our clothes were dripping wet. I was the fastest at changing. Four big white boys changing in a park … that’s a scary thought.
Tylenol – 8 hour. Just trust me.
Had I been on that run your photographer would have had to back up to get me sprawled out on the ground at your feet! But I hang out with friends who abhor running, so this ain’t gonna happen to me.
Congrats Bro. You are the MAN!
Wow thats great!! Yet another thing you and jason will have to talk about when he gets to meet you. He was just about to do a 13 ml when he broke his knee last year (acl, mcl, and maniscas (dont know how to spell that last one lol). He has done a couple of 6 ml’s this year and always finishes in the top 5 in his age class (its like 25 to35 big class).
But I think that is AMAZING!! Good job
love and blessings

That really is a nice distance to run. More importantly are you feeling more healthy for doing it?
oh…my back hurts….
Zach
Congratulations…proud of all of you!
So how many times around the mall is that? And did you guys run at midnight? Just kidding…You give me hope maybe I can get it in gear and start running again.

Congrats on the half! The fam is training for the Rock N Roll half marthon in San Antonio this November. You should join us.
Keesha is running to beat her husband, Gary. Alisha just wants to beat Keesha. Derrick thinks he is going to beat us all. And I am just hoping to not let my mom outrun me. I need to step it up..only on mile 3 and I am dying!!!
